Dealing With Rigidity

You may have noticed that your 2-year-old isn’t exactly the most flexible person in the world. Her little brain is trying to understand how the world works, and once she gets a concept down, she expects it to stay that way. Having things happen the same way every time reassures your preschooler and gives her a confidence boost (”I knew that would happen!”). That’s why she likes to sit in a certain chair or goes bananas when her cracker breaks in two.

“Again! Again!” The Teletubbies have this mantra for a reason: A hallmark of this age is repetition. Your little one may want to eat the same things again and again, wear the same clothes day after day, or do things in the exact same order. Remember that he’s trying to make sense of the world, and keeping certain things unvarying is his way of exercising a little control in all the hubbub of life. Rituals provide comfort.

That said, rigidity can get a little hard to live with. Indulge such behaviors when it’s really not a big deal. But if your preschooler’s demand is unreasonable or inappropriate (wanting to watch TV during dinner, ordering a guest to get out of “Daddy’s chair”), refuse calmly but firmly. You might trigger a tantrum, but ultimately you’re the boss.

Few days ago, hubby sent me some of his pictures when his friend brought him to an auto showroom. I was really surprised how he posed for the camera! Surely, cars are his weakness. As he told me, he had a grand time viewing those luxury cars, something that he dreamed of owning! Funny but I don’t know if we can afford even the cheapest Ferrari parts in the market!  But who knows, maybe in the future we’ll be able to afford one! Now that’s keeping the faith right?! hehehehe… Now let me share with you one of his many shot with his dream ferrari car

This is how our typical family bondings are lately. Web cams and chat boxes. Still better than nothing you know. Eleven more months for the husband and I before we each other again, our daughter is really missing her dad big time, seeing him over the net helps a lot that is why he tries to get online every single day even for just a while.

I think every mom should have commendations for being able to handle so many things without going crazy with stress! I get stressed easily and I vent it out by having a very quick temper. Sometimes, my shoulders and back ache too and I would need back support from too much physical activity. The worst thing that happens is when my migraine attacks. I get literally knocked out for almost a day or two because my head hurts so much that all I want to do is sleep! I have been reading a lot of articles on how to finally how to elimate debt thru Dave Ramsey’s advice , in whatever means. You see, I’ve finally made up my mind to settle all my financial obligations as soon as possible, been negotiating with my credit card companies too for settlement on all of since I wanted to start a new financial status this new year. But I guess, I wouldn’t be able to get debt elimination that easy and fast, since it has to undergo series of studies with the in charge of my accounts. Although I’m seing clear things now with my one account, which hopefully, I can pay full before the end of this month. Thank God for my online sidelines, thus making me able to save enough money to save my debtor’s rights , my debt as soon as possible. I’m just hoping now that my plans will push through the way I plan it to be, I’m sure that things will turn out great after some time, since I am doing the best that I can to settle everything. Of course I don’t want to live my life with unfinished debts on my back, waiting to be taken care of.
