Of all the words your child is picking up this year, it may seem like he has one grand favorite: “NO.” What’s the attraction? Preschoolers say “no” a lot because they’re discovering their own free will. “No” is a handy way to voice their opinion. (Sometimes they even say “no” when they really mean “yes.”) Sometimes a not-very-verbal child will resort to “no” just because he’s mad or flustered and struggling to get his point across. Your preschooler may also learn that if he says it loudly and forcefully enough, Mom and Dad will really pay attention … they might even go along with it!

Giving your child choices is one way to reduce the number of no’s you hear from him. Also, encourage him to answer in a quiet voice, and coach him in some alternatives: “What’s the opposite of ‘no’? ‘Yes!’” “You can say ‘no,’ or you can say ‘yes,’ or guess what’s in the middle? You can say ‘maybe!’”

Let me just share with you some snaps of my daughter while pole dancing! lol.. before we hit the weekend and before everyone gets so busy again so many stuffs to finish. Like me, I still have tons of photos to share here, but for the meantime, this set are one of her funniest! She dances so well that she can imitate RR or is Saisy of Wowowee with her pole dancing antic! lol

As mentioned in my post here, we had a day of fun at Westgate two Sunday’s ago. And since my blog post was bitin, here is the continuation of Olin’s day of fun at Active Fun play place. Boy, it was so big! I had to accompany the little brat all over the place! She particularly made a hit at the ball pool, where she plunged without fear just like the other older kids do.

She was likes trying her luck with stairs and anything that has to do with going to the second and third level of the play area! I was uberly tired from all the following and making enter the tunnels, afraid that she might direct herself to the slides and hurt herself…

This is one of my favorite area, where I can sit and rest for a while while she plays with the letters and numbers without worrying all the akyatan and slide-an.. hehehe. Imagine I was holding my camera and my bag while making sunod to all her whereabouts! It was tiring! But the two of us were happy!

And yes, she got tired too after some 45 minutes of non stop running and akyatan and slide-an and suotan wherever.

But she can’t be stop! After recharging herself, she’s back with vengeance and tried the bigger slides! By the way, I had to slide too! because we found ourselves facing the big slide and we have no chance of going back because a lot of kids are already lined behind us. So imagine Olin on my lap while we slide! OMG! it was fun but risky! my camera even hit the side of the slide. demet.

It was indeed a super tiring 1 1/2 hour play time but my daughter is at her happiest, so it was worth all the hingal and muscle pains the day after

How was your Halloween? Well, for us we had a blast! we brought the kids (my daughter and my two nieces) at SM Bacoor for the yearly Trick or Treating and Halloween costume contest, it was Olin’s second year actually, last year she was a little pumpkin and this year she goes to be a very cute and charming Butterfly princess!

We (together with my mom and sis) arrived at the mall lunchtime to meet up with my cousin and the kids, after we all ate we then proceeded to register the kids for the contest, well, we just wanted to get the loots and have some moment of stardom (we are not really hoping to win or anything) aka exposure! anyways, while the others are still in line at the registration area, the host announces that mall wide stores/shops are already open for the trick or treaters, so we then went out with the kids for the trick or treating hops… for two hours! my goodness we, the adults were oh so tired! but the  kids? they were still hyper as ever! they just simply love what they are doing! hopping from one store to another asking for candies and some other goodies! it was chaos! there were so many kids in full costume! but that deserves another post since I’ve took a lot of photos of kids in their awesome halloween costumes.

So there, after the trick or treating we then headed at the lower ground floor where the contest venue is located, and waited our time to come up on stage for the judges to see our little kiddos in costume! of course, stage mommy ako, I came up with Olin… kasi she doesn’t want to be put down during the time we were nearing the stage na, natakot ata sa voice nung host at nung mga ibang naka costume near the stage.. so like last year, stage mudrax ang drama ko! hahaha! so what ba diba? paki ko? eh sa gusto namin ang exposure mag ina eh! ahahahaha!

And yes, as expected we didn’t win… but it was ok, kasi those who won naman were talagang bonggang bongga ang costume and all! the winners for the fantasy theme (where Olin and my nieces fall under the said category)  came to be as DYOSA, with all the feathers and wide spread wings and all the works! At talagang tipong magwawala ang parenthood ng mga chikiting na iyon pag di sila ang nanalo-effect! ganun kinarir, ‘ika nga.  Yun Na! .

And yeah, she came home with candies and other stuffs too, but of course it was me and my sister who ate it all! bwahahaha! dinner at KFC afterwards and some Christmas decor shopping and candles for the following day All Saint’s day activity at the cemetery before we head home. Uber tiring the day was, but lots of photos and memories for Olin to look back when she grows up! makikita nya how super kikay her mom was and how supportive her Tatay, grandma and Ninang Tita was

…for the brat the newest Dora Knows Your Name 2.0! Since she already has the first version which is a great steal actually with its so many features and all, for sure this 2.0 is also an uber nice one! Can’t wait to grab this! Olin would definitely love this, another Dora who says her name! so cute!

That’s my active tot is now! The guitar where given to her by Ninong Jasper last Christmas or  birthday  I think, I decided to keep her loots so she can open and enjoy one at a time. And finally, it was her day to open another one, and she points the pink guitar! would you believe she’s still playing now, and its 10:20pm while I am still checking some Barbados villa rentals online.

Last week we bough Olin these Activity Sketcher, the husband was hesitant at first because the label says its for children 3 and up, and Olin is just 18 months! But I insisted on getting this, so I won! And boy I was right! the tot loves it so much! upon seeing Pooh she was ecstatic! she keeps on shouting Pooh! hehehe… So we let her see how it is being use, just like her color, and she got it fast ha! Now she always doodles like a pro with her sketcher and just ask me to slide it up for her to erase all her tweaks. And yes, we just make it a point to look after her every time she uses this activity prop just you know, to make sure she use the pen type writer the proper way.

And of course, to brag my husband’s art! lol… Olin loves her Tatay’s drawing skills, that she keeps on asking him to draw ‘cat’ …. every time she remembers, she’ll bring her doodle sketcher to his Tatay and will say ‘Tatay, Cat!’ and he knows what to do…

As I told earlier about my laptop that were invaded by the hideous virus from somewhere, it is such a good thing that I was able to burn most of my photo files a week ago, maybe I got a feeling that something bad would happen, oh, there were a lot of bad things that happened actually besides my laptop act up. Anyways, so now that my lappy is back on track, I again transferred some of the photos that I would be needing for my blogging purposes on my hard drive, and I saw this pictures.. one of the many fun moments of my daughter and her cousins Stephanie and Juliana taken last summer, having fun in their inflatables wearing their cute swimwear you might notice that they are not sharing the same pool, because we have to segregate them or else my daughter would be smashed out by the two older kiddos! cute isn’t?

I got two close friends who are pregnant and about to give birth by November, plus a lot of online friends who are about to lay eggs too in the coming months, this preggo news makes me want to have a baby! lol, not now though, but in another years to come. I remember when I was still pregnant with my daughter, it took me like forever to come up with a name for her, you see I even search on the sites of famous baby names around the world and even found myself scanning through celebrity’s kid names hoping that one or two names would catch my attention. Though it was a really fun thing to do, still I wasn’t able to snag at least one. Maybe because the names are so westernized sounding thus it made me feel so unreal if I would name my child after their names, although there are a few that sounds striking but when combine with our last name, it sounds so unreal. So I just make the most time out of it, and finsish reading and scanning every single names in the site. I was cool really! For coming up of a website wherein the future expectants can check out to help them in choosing names. My friend even asked me for suggestions, so what I did was forward to her the sites that features names and the like, I just hope she can make use of that And for Olin Rei? what I did was get letters from her two grand father’s name and put it together

My Hap-EE thoughts:

• My Daughter Olin Rei :: the greatest gift ever we got from the Lord above. She makes our life always in a happy state with all her antics, hugs and kisses! call it… Unconditional Love.
• My Husband :: though we sometimes argues on simple things and all, I am really thankful and happy for having him. He understands me and encourages me into a lot of things. We may not be rich in money, but he provides us with almost everything we practically need.

• My Family :: my papa, who sacrificed a lot of himself for us, and for all the jokes he rendered too! ::my mama, who reared me up and my sister into who we are now, I guess she did a very good job on that! ::my sister, whom I always fought with when we are still young ( I was her punching bag!), my runner for almost everything and the greatest aunt to my daughter!

And now for simple things that can make me giddy happy are:

• My Laptop and the Internet :: I can survive without live social chitchats for a week straight! Just have my internet connection speedy! I have twitter, blog and chat friends that I can talk to whenever I really need to blurt out some things.
• My Nikon D40 :: It may not be the high end DSLR in the world, but it can make me thousand times happier with the great resolution and fast shutter speed!
• Magazines :: my chicka provider! About to read Yes magazine latest issue about Ryan and Judy Ann’s engagement! lol
• Books :: Believe it or not, yes I read! lol
• My Photos:: my precious snaps, half of which are printed already, just need to arrange them one by one on photo albums
• White Mocha Frap :: my once in a while indulgence
• Orange Mango Shake :: from Fruitas, malling is not complete without this refreshing sip!
• Quake Chocolate Bars, Keebler’s Oatmeal Cookies, Piknik, Red Ribbon’s Choco-Caramel Roll, Mc Donald’s Pancake and Fries this lists can go on and on so I gotta stop right now
• And yes, Money! oo, mukha talaga akong pera! wahahahaha!
