This will be my last post for today. I wish. You see, my brain is already freaking fried! But I can’t complain, the grasya might go out my way… :D So let me refresh what I said, I’m purely overwhelmed! It’s a minute before the clock strikes twelve, and I am still here blabbing my brain out with a lot of stuff! Good thing the husband decided to accompany me here, he’s watching a travel show right now and he gave me another hour to finish everything that is nearing the deadline! So there, I’m basically cramming. I need fillers!!!! waaaa!

Cancelled

Posted by kathy - Under: Uncategorized

We were suppose to do a lot of errands today like:

  1. Go to the bank, withdraw and have some few thousand change into smaller new crisp bills (just in case, kids who doesn’t have gifts from us arrive on Christmas day for their Aguinaldo’s)
  2. Pay bills - Internet and phone povider (digitel), water bill for the apartments
  3. Go to PEZA trade fair and buy some gift stuffs (photo albums, caps, socks, and DKNY underwears lol)
  4. Go to SM to buy some more house supplies and look for other gifts for the inaanak’s

I was so dead set on going out today, that I had my hair blow dried nicely, but we realized that we will not be able to make it to the 2nd Simbang Gabi if we still go out this late. So tomorrow, we need to fix ourselves as early as 10am so we can finish everything and still make it for the mass at 7pm.

Bottom line?! SAYANG ANG BLOWER. nyemas. :D

A lot of people say that my daughter is one camera addict :D you see, she likes being photographed, a thing that she definitely got from me! Because her dad is a total opposite, he hates being flashed by cameras and being center of attention. But aside from that almost every attributes of my daughter came from him, from the food likes to the tantrum throws up of the brat, everything came from the moody husband. Now let me share with you her latest photo that I took a few minutes ago, she asked me for “picture! picture!” and I obliged.

missing the work

Posted by kathy - Under: Uncategorized

Sometimes I missed my previous job. As a Production Planning Officer, it has been my duty to plan out every single item we need for production (read: raw materials). Which can practically makes me busy in some part of the month and super laid back the rest of the days. Fulfilling? not exactly, but I was happy. Happy with co-workers turn out good friends. And part of our good camaradie are the helping out scheme, where we lend help to those who needs it badly, having a no system product warehouse it is, it can make the in charge go gaga when deliveries comes in. If only we have Data Warehousing Software which has been offered to the top management but they refuse it in the end. Believing that the company is too small to acquire such system. But you know, they just didn’t know everything. Imagine if the company has this, everything will fall unto its proper places. Things will be great, deliveries will be prompt. Production will be well planned and data will not be lost, just at that. But there is still chances, I heard they are already requesting for one. I just hope their request will be granted soon.

her dreams

Posted by kathy - Under: Uncategorized

A cousin of mine is soon be finishing her secondary schooling next March and is right now thinking of getting herself into one of those online colleges like Capella University. Although she likes going to school, but the fact that she needs to work too in able to support her studies, and the work that can provide her good salary is super demanding a lot of time from her. So a friend suggested of inquiring at Capella, known for their great online schooling, it can be the answer to my cousin’s dilemma. Imagine, being able to fulfill her dreams of finishing her studies while working on a regular basis to provide for herself and her family is the most greatest thing to do. I just hope she finds way to really push through on whatever her plans to do. And I pray that she’ll be able to finish her studies as well. But with the promising view from Capella, I think things will turn out great for her.

It was awesome, I had to go back inside the house and get my camera and capture it! :D It was indeed smiling! My daughter loves it so!… the news said that it was the two planet Venus and Jupiter  and the moon aligned. Although all the while we all thought that it was just stars!

It’s really nice seeing things like this noh? I mean, with all the problems we are encountering, the Man above still has some great things to show us… and we just all love it! :D Thanks for reminding us that we are still being loved by you…

Been talking about my previous cash loans from different financial intstitution (read: banks). Anyways, it has been some good three years the last time I took a big leap in aquiring for one. The thing is, my finances got whirled up and for almost six months, I was too neglectful of not paying dues on time. You see, there are number of people who experienced this kind of hardship, and let me tell you, it is stressful. Getting loans now is super easy, in fact there are institution that offers one day release of funds and even hours! But in attach to that quick money offerings is the fact that you have to meet deadlines and pay your dues on time. In my case, it was an honest to goodness thing, I was able to talk to their agents regarding my financial status, soon enough they were able to send me justifiable amnesty program just in time for the holidays. Albeit wrong timing since holidays and it falls on the expenses month, I had no choice but to grab it and pay the amount that was offered to me. Let me tell you, it was way too low compare to what I’m supposed to pay for, so I had to gather my enough savings and some more to meet my deadline. Thank God for all the online opportunities it really helped me a lot in my troubled days. Now I can say that I am totally debt free :D

Learning life’s lesson in a hard way is the best way to strenghten me up. It’s better to learn in an early age instead of experiencing this problem in the future.  :D

Mineral Make Up

Posted by kathy - Under: Uncategorized

I was able to convince a few to try Everyday Minerals, with my convincing power, some of them ordered their kits too! but don’t just take my word for it, you must try it and see the difference of using mineral cover up to those chemical filled branded ones! :D the feeling of lightness and nice coverage is super nice!

Now let me just share my Super Personal Custom Kit, that I got for less than $50 including shipping last April. But when I check their site, I noticed that they just had price mark up on everything.

Anyways, thanks to Mai for recommending another mineral make up seller available locally the Ellena Mineral Cosmetics. They have free samplers up for grabs, you’ll just have to pay for the shipping. And of course, I ordered some few items from their site too, like the Lip treatment, Lip scrub and availed their free samplers too! Probably, my stuff will arrive tomorrow! :D can’t wait! teehee!

Black Friday! Be Safe.

Posted by kathy - Under: Uncategorized

The most awaited time of all mall and online shoppers!

http://www.gpslodge.com/pictures/BlackFridayGPSSale-thumb.jpg

And since there will be tons of purchasing activities during the weekend, let me share with you an information I just got from my email on how to avoid theft and fraud when shopping…

Ø Use credit cards instead of debit cards: Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, Credit Cards provide consumers protection again fraudulent charges and your liability is limited to $50. You also have the right to dispute charges and withhold payment during investigation. However, debit cards are entirely different.  Although they market themselves to deliver the same protection, they are not required to by any law.  Bottom line, your liability for fraudulent charges is the entire amount in your checking account as well as the credit line you have been authorized to receive.

Ø Use a single credit card to consolidate your purchasing: The more credit cards open in your name, the greater the risk that a thief will obtain the account information for one (never mind that having numerous cards with big lines of credit can be a bad temptation and can actually drag down your credit score–even if you don’t have balances). It’s also easier to monitor a single statement for signs of fraud, and you won’t incur the annual fees associated with having multiple cards. Make sure to cross-check all your receipts against your statements to see that they match.

Ø Be sure to write “SEE ID” on the back of credit cards: This simple step can help to foil thieves if the card is lost or stolen, and might even help to catch the thief if your card is taken.

Ø Shop on secure sites and be wary!: While the majority of identity fraud occurs offline, identity theft is also a problem online. You must exercise caution when shopping on the web. Stick to sites that you know are legitimate, and if you are trying a new site for the first time, here are a few things to look for: the URL should have “https” in the shopping cart; there should be a lock icon on the bottom right hand side of the window and look for icons that indicate site safety (the Better Business Bureau, VeriSign and Hacker Safe icons).

Ø Watch out for “phishing” and “vishing” scams: These scams can be a real problem, as identity thieves try to play on people’s generosity during the holiday season. Phishing emails often take the forms of requests purporting to be from a bank or credit card company; they ask you to “verify” account information such as login and password or they request a donation or assistance for the less fortunate during the holidays. Vishing scams–which involve fraudulent calls—seek to exploit consumer concerns over fraud by seeming to offer fraud prevention assistance. The bottom line: no legitimate vendor will ask for your login and password via email or on the phone.

Ø Be careful when using ATMs: Only use ATMs with monitoring cameras, such as those in bank lobbies. Avoid kiosk ATMs, those freestanding units often do not have cameras and are statistically more likely to be infected by skimmers (electronic devices that allow thieves to record account and PIN numbers).  “shoulder surfing” can also be a problem at a crowded mall. While you assume that the man behind you is uncomfortably close because of mall crowding, he may actually be looking over your shoulder trying to get your login.

Ø Place fraud alerts to prevent new credit card accounts from being opened: Free fraud alerts placed on your credit report are good for 90 days (if you can demonstrate that you’ve been an identity theft victim, they can be set for 7 years) and, in combination with other proactive measures, can be used to help to prevent identity theft.

I crave

I’m craving for Sioplets :) yes, mini siopao but with monggo and ube filling. Was able to order a separate order for this the last time we went to DFS for twenty five bucks, but unfortunately, to a reason they cannot spill, the Chowking branch near us doesn’t sell out separate order of Sioplets, they say that it is only availabe with the Lauriat meal. Too bad, it really breaks my heart, dissapointment fills the whole me. I ended up ordering nothing from them, I even told the manager that it can be bought separately in another branch, why can’t they?! But the manager simply replied, they don’t know. $%@*!

Suburbs and Pest Control

Posted by kathy - Under: Uncategorized

Yes. We live in the suburbs, where the cows, goats and all the cattles live and where rice fields can be seen from left to right. And I’m proud of it actually. I used to live in a city not too far away from where we are now but I kind of like it here more, having a very laid back setting and all, not too stressful nor to dull. Since we are just a few minutes away from the real busy cities, we can drive to places if our hearts desire to you know, get some dose of lights and the city life altogether :)

Well anyways, having neighbors that owns hectares and huge farms, sometimes I can’t help but over hear them talking (in their native tones and accents) about their need to get the most effective pest control and some other things that has to do with their crops and all. When actually, there was this one time I had a small talk with our neighbor and told them about the ways to improve their pest control system, by you know, getting informations online for there are so many available resources that can probably help them with their problem. By simply knowing the best and the most favored ways to do it plus the reasonable pricing that they check amongst many other things.

learning beauty

Posted by kathy - Under: Uncategorized

A friend whom I haven’t heard from in a while messaged me a few days ago and informed me that she is currently enrolled in one of the Regency Beauty Institute beauty schools in Minneapolis. Actually, I wasn’t surprised at all when I learned that she is taking up some beauty course because as I remember, she is the most vain amongst all my friends, she has been friends with make ups and hair dresses! Been flaunting herself with variation of fully dressed self complete with accessories and ala salon styled hair almost everyday! She likes dressing up and loves looking always pretty and prep up. That is why, after some years she has decided to take a big leap by studying fashion and beauty to the next level. I also heard that she’s thinking of building her own business someday, a Salon! what else? I know, she’ll make it big in that! Knowing that she’s studying in the most famous beauty institute in the US today.
