I am not a techie person actually, my simple phone and my laptop can do all the works for me. But receiving things such as these…

gadget freak.un na. by you.

is really, really nice right?! Oh yes definitely! Although my sister has been reading a lot of good reviews with PS3, I still prefer the portable ones, basically because the fact that you can bring it anywhere and the wifi capability of it is so great. Imagine twittering or plurking or even blogging at your favorite coffee shop’s couch, while sipping your favorite latte, just perfect. But with a toddler in tow? give her the travel aquadoodle and let her draw till she drops can do the works! and don’t forget to let her experience a sip from your yummy frappe too! lol

the day yesterday

Posted by kathy On November - 19 - 2008 ADD COMMENTS
We were out the whole day yesterday, that made me missed blogging! So were have we been? Fetch dad from the airport and stayed at my folk’s the whole day. Whats really nice about all of it was the fact that my daughter and her grand father had such  a great time! after not seeing each other for more than six months, it was a surprise to see that Olin didn’t have the shy moments when she saw dad. Right after we rode the van, she started talking to him and doing her antics! which made the grandpa so happy!
Anyways, after the fetch from the airport, we headed to DFS for some little shopping and to my surprise, there were so many cheap auto insurance agents who are giving out fliers and leaflets of their products and offerings. Since the other car is about to renew its registration by January, I decided to gather all the agents flyers and see who really is worth the deal. Since we really need to think about it, I opted to bring home the letters and leave my email contact details to the agents and ask them to send me their quotes for next year’s registration. By then, we’ll see who amongst all of them is worth the deal.

green elephant

Been itching to get Olin a rocking horse/lion since the husband and I saw her super love riding Mikee’s lion during our Twitter Christmas Party last month. We’ve been scouring the mall for one but to no avail, the TK staff said that it was already sold out. So my mom took charge! :) finally, she was able to find one at SM department store and asks her grand daughter if she likes it, and guess what?! she shouted out of her delight when she saw this rocking elephant! :D

Totally Free Credit Report

Posted by kathy On November - 18 - 2008 ADD COMMENTS

While we were out at the mall, I can’t seem to count how many credit card agents handed me their flyers and leaflets plus asking me if wanted to get my own credit card. But I do already have one, well, make that two, that I am currently crawling on to pay! But what’s good in getting credit cards now are the additional perks that they offer to new clients like totally free credit report and the immediate response to one’s running credit score, if they wanted to know how far have they come when it comes to swiping and using their card. It is really a good thing to have this perks because it’ll definitely help the user to know if he or she has reached her maximum amount to spare or if she can still purchase certain item without the hassle of being rejected right at the counter. So for those who are thinking of getting one, since it is the shopping season, and gearing up with a credit card is so tempting, better ask for one that has a free credit score option so you can maximize the use and the capability of your card.

shoe fetish

As mentioned in my other entry here I got so torn between the two slip ons  from VNC so I decided to get both :) I know, the impulsive buyer in me strikes again. I totally forgot about the other sandals from ON that I bought from our last online shopping, so I decided  to give the bottom pair to my mom instead. Good thing she really likes it too :) And we also got to buy Leptovox on our way home :D

Suburbs and Pest Control

Posted by kathy On November - 17 - 2008 ADD COMMENTS

Yes. We live in the suburbs, where the cows, goats and all the cattles live and where rice fields can be seen from left to right. And I’m proud of it actually. I used to live in a city not too far away from where we are now but I kind of like it here more, having a very laid back setting and all, not too stressful nor to dull. Since we are just a few minutes away from the real busy cities, we can drive to places if our hearts desire to you know, get some dose of lights and the city life altogether :)

Well anyways, having neighbors that owns hectares and huge farms, sometimes I can’t help but over hear them talking (in their native tones and accents) about their need to get the most effective pest control and some other things that has to do with their crops and all. When actually, there was this one time I had a small talk with our neighbor and told them about the ways to improve their pest control system, by you know, getting informations online for there are so many available resources that can probably help them with their problem. By simply knowing the best and the most favored ways to do it plus the reasonable pricing that they check amongst many other things.

Christmas in our humble abode

Yes, we did set up Christmas decors in our terrace. Due to budget constraint, we were only able to buy few items, only to find out that everything sum up to 3,000 pesos! Everything is so expensive nowadays! But what can we do (eh napasubo na si bosing! hahaha), and we really wanted to decorate the house … so with 4 sets of rice lights, poinsettias, Christmas balls, Santa lamp post and lighted bell decor it made us  feel the happy spirit of Christmas! (and forgot the hefty amount slashed from the budget ) lol
So have you finished  setting up your Christmas decoration too?

geeky me

Posted by kathy On November - 15 - 2008 ADD COMMENTS

I used to dream of wearing one of those geeky glasses when I was in High School. I really don’t know why, but I guess it made me believe that students who wear eyeglasses are serious and really studious. And I wanted to be one of them, actually. And now, I think I’m actually needing one. My eyes are always aching, from the long hours of computer time and so much reading I guess. That is why, I was glad to learn that Zenni Optical was on FOX news! and they featured Great Eyeglasses For Less imagine a pair for $8! believe me, they have a complete set as low as that price from choosing among the Variable Dimension Frames From Zenni

What is your dream car? This has been our frequent talks between my friends and I. You see, ever since we were in College we always think about our future and our dream car. But things generally change now, before, I used to dream of driving sports car, those little dwo door kind of car, being driven in the metro by the glamorous women of power in the executive world. But for me, what I want now is to have an eco friendly car unit just like Mercedes-Benz BlueTEC a diese fuel powered car made by the most famous car manufacturer. Being a mother changes a lot of preference in me, now I always make sure to prefer things that are eco-friendly to make sure that no harmful substance will be discharge or anything, I now want things to be at its safest way, something that my daughter will be benefit in the future.

My friend just got home 1 month earlier my father, she too works in a cruise line! anyways, she told my mom that she has plans to buy a lot or if possible a house and lot in her second board as a sea woman, shes targeting next year to be the year of her purchase, so my mom told her that they can go directly to the subdivision owner to lessen her cost for buying the land she would want to buy and if ever her money would not fit the cost of the land she can get a loan or something called reverse mortgage for additional funding for the house and lot. i mean, there are number of good and accredited home lender in the country today, all has different offerings from the lowest reverse mortgages rates and interests and other add ons like actually i guess they based their standards in those US based home lenders like the Countrywide Home Loans, the number 1 in the states that helped millions of people with their house financing, debt consolidation and equity loans. like this company, good and renowned service must be the first thing to consider when applying for one. anyways, my friend is already having a thinking time right now, maybe before he board again her ship she’ll decide on what to do with her planned investment and about reverse mortgage loan.

WS: Baptismal Cuppies

Posted by kathy On November - 10 - 2008 10 COMMENTS

Here’s my weekend snapshot entry..  Our yellow gold themed baptismal chocolate cupcake :) Which my daughter loves! It surprises us actually, because it has been ages that we are baking and making pastries but she wasn’t that interested, she doesn’t like chocolates that much. But with our latest creation, she loved it! She was able to finish two cuppies! good thing, we were able to produce more than the order quantity plus the fact that she can eat as much as she want without needing those fat burner pills and all!  :)

We are parents! {again}

Meet our bunso… Sasha, the baby Cockatiel bird :) She is so fragile and yes, young. She even needs to be hand fed and cared for like an infant for two more weeks. As expected, our daughter super loves her new pet! that she keeps on approaching the cage and talks to Sasha :D super cute!

This bird makes our second pet, the other one is Moogy a pit bull who is super sweet which if you see him doesn’t fit his appearance, he’s really freaking scary! the big body and huge head?! men, he can really torn your body into pieces, just looking at his teeth you’ll get those goose bumps all over. But as I’ve said, he’s really a tamed dog :) he likes to play with our neighbor’s dogs! In fact when the husband walks him, you’ll see him stopping by the other stray dogs, but those who doesn’t know him will end up running away, super scared! By the way, the husband got him a Control flea treatment the other day because he wanted to make sure that we wouldn’t have to worry about Fleas and ticks. He happens to read a lot of good stuff about using such products even if your pet doesn’t have one. Prevention is always better than cure right?

So anyways, back to the bird, I will be posting a more photos of Sasha and how we feed her through a syringe next time :D

Are you going to cook for Christmas? Because I am! Actually, I’ve been collecting food and recipe magazines as early as now that has yummy recipes good for the holiday feast. And yes, I also been watching cooking shows and taking down notes of the recipes and the how to’s. Intrigue with the easy green bean recipes  I might try one this weekend and see if it will do good for the Christmas table. I really wanted to impress the whole family with my cooking galore, thats why I’m gearing up! *wink* Let’s see if I’ll excel on cooking too just like my dear mom who really cooks well! But if everything else fails, I’d probably resort to cooking and preparing a simple Macaroni and Cheese dish! :D

Toy Hunt : Fluffy

Posted by kathy On November - 6 - 2008 1 COMMENT

This is Monty, a puppy dog stuffed toy given to Olin by her ninang  Rachel last march, a pasalubong from her actually (she’s working in a cruise line {just like my pop} based in Europe, yeah, I know, cool isn’t?). Anyways, she heard that Olin fancies dogs during that time (when she was 14 months) so she gave her this… and the little one super likes it!  And yep, she still sleeps with her doggy by her side :)

Anyways, we happen to see a larger version of Monty at Duty Free Shop which is super expensive! No way in the world will I ever buy something like that can equals the cost of a nice laptop :D Although  my daughter adores the biggie dog, we just opt to take a picture of it with her …

in here too :D

Are you also been thinking of applying for a loan that is being offered on sites that promises and in fact gives out a minimum amount of interest one way to get help with debt. Why I wanted to do this? because I need debt help! lol. and  would want to settle my credit card billings already, too tired of taking care of it all, I know, I shouldn’t have maxed out my limit, but what can I do, damage has been done, and it hits me really hard. That is why I wanted to settle every single account that I have so that interests and other add on payments would not rise up anymore. At least by having only one debt obligation, I wouldn’t have the hard time to pay at least three of my credit card companies, all I have to do is acquired a credit counseling. Iust have to make sure to sum up the amount I have to pay for this online loan. But this is just a plan, I have to discuss this first to the husband because for sure, he’ll flare up once again, when he learn about my other credits. This is really hard, you know. But then, I have to be strong enough to face this.
