when mom speaks

I need a break! er, just a quick trip to the mall will do for me nothing fancy and extravagant kind of break ya’ know! It’s just that I’m feeling sick already for staying indoors and not being able to see other things (Read: wide open spaces, stalls and boutiques with huge screaming boards of SALE! lol)

Alright, I admit, I badly need a shopping spree! but come to think of it, I don’t have any moolah to do that now, so window shopping will do, I guess I only hope dad will let me accompany him as he scout for his preferred spring plungers, whatever that is on his trip to the mall tomorrow! weh.

School Hunting Task: Check!

Woohoo! In a few days time, I’d be officially a preschooler mom! Last Monday, as per my dear husband’s request to scout for the a preschool for our daughter (aside from my quest for life insurance quote, lol) , I managed to visit and inquire on the 4 schools that offers Nursery schooling nearby. Thank heavens for easy-to-talk to administrators that they were able to walk me through every details of preschooler. I was able to understand the important parts of going to school amongst other things.

So anyways, after my visits, was able to talk things over with the husband and laid everything about the schools and all.. we finally decided to pick the preschool foundation over the big school were bigger kids are already over populating. Realized too that our daughter shouldn’t become so overwhelmed at the moment she enters her school so choosing the smaller institution over the huge school is the better choice.

Will be going back to our preferred school next week for her summer school registration (yep, she will undergo a summer schooling for a month, before she goes to regular schooling on June as a Nursery), and will let her see how her future school looks like, bet she’ll like it because I did, all the colorful stuffs in there are so inviting, basically it really looks like a happy place, so I’m pretty sure she will too

I have always been a fan of portrait shots, especially of kids. And just in time when I became a mother, my own dslr camera has arrived. Thus made me do my thing for close up shots of my daughter (who yes, happens to be so familiar and at ease whenever people are taking snaps of her :D) Anyways, of course, as a wanna be photographer, I too, also loved to be photographed! thank heavens for my sister who always do it for me

Speaking of portraiture and head shots photography, I happen to see this site of a dallas photographer named Mark Oristano. A very well known photographer in dallas that has been in the business of photography for quite some time now and has garnered so many clients including some of the Hollywood celebrities and business tycoons in the US! Yes, he masters on that field of photography. Probably the photos will be use for their business portfolios or something, thus they need a good shot of themselves. And also, as I read more about his site, I learned that he also does family portraits too! I wonder if he also cover events and the likes.. So there, someday, hopefully in His time, I’d be able to do a great job in this field just like this Mark Oristano of  dallas photography!

Woohoo! Finally, my sister graduated from College! Well, not that we are in a hurry or something for her to finish and all. It’s just that we are too full of joy and happiness because she did it, just in time

Anyways, let me share with you our photo (my dad is already inside the gymnasium, he saved our seats, that’s why he’s not on the photo). Actually, some eight years ago we also have a photo just like this one, though I’m the one who is wearing the graduation toga and my sister were still little that time, really cute one! Will try to scan that photo and have it posted beside this one so you’ll see the difference, aside from that we need the help of the best weight loss pill there is!

I just so love Edward Cullen! So I am now a proud owner of Long Champ Le Pliage Bags! yep, finally! my Plain and Eiffel tower Le Pliage has arrived and I’m happy to say that I love them to bits! very well made and it’s pretty perfect for everyday use especially when June arrives and my daughter goes to school, it’ll be my mommy bag!

Being a mom doesn’t mean we can’t be sexy right? In fact, this is the time that we take care of our body more than ever -health wise, for our self wise and of course, for our significant other. I happen to love statement shirts lately, not really sure if it’s because wearing one makes me feel really cool and ‘in’ or just plainly because I feel so comfortable on tees or whatever. Probably will order a couple of this (mine and for the husband) after I finish my review about this testosterone booster, which reminds me that I still have a couple of must reads on this topic (I’m helping my niece for her final assignment, that’s why). As I checked my blogs archive, it hit me… I’ve been blogging (the real deal, you know what I mean) for almost four years now! And I was like, whoa! this has been my longest job so far! can’t believe I lasted this long… and I am really thankful for all the blessings this thing has brought us.

Anyways, then I also realized that it has been four years of me, sitting on a dining chair - which is really not comfortable. And since I’d be celebrating my fourth year this coming May.. I have decided to give myself a swivel chair (the one being used in the office, the soft padded and comfortable back pads and all)! Will check out the mall, particularly the office furniture department for their available office chair!

Finally, our second controller has arrived! and now, we can play our all time favorite Super Mario Brothers game on wii! this time, two players! Now the thing is, we can’t actually play or set up our player on my dad’s newly installed LCD tv. We still need to do a lot of convincing that the console wouldn’t actually mess up with the monitor or something. Oh well, I wonder how can we tell my dad that we are soon be getting another gaming console.. this time the well raved playstation 3! Oh no, don’t get us wrong, we are not gaming addict of some sort.. we just love collecting! joke!

As usual, I’ve been a slack for the past few days (this is usually what weekends brings me). Anyways, as I was checking out this worth drooling sales of diamonds (something I want for my birthday..ehem, ehem) I also took some time to check updates on Facebook, then I saw this pretty scandalous Dora animation-or whatever you call this art. Imagine our kid’s favorite female cartoon character on the cover of mens magazine! whoa. How can we explain this thing to our kids?! And what in the world this cute little girl is wearing here?! underwear!!! Alright, let’s just see this on the summery side of things… so she’s actually wearing a swimsuit alright.

I do love and adore chunky cars! In fact, I have my hoping to have honda pilot on my dream board! though I used to heart Toyota Fortuner when it first released in the market but suddenly, a change of heart and finally decided that if someday, hopefully soon, I’ll gonna drive this baby around town. And that would be perfect, you know, running errands, fetching my kid from school and all. Really sounds exciting! Anyways, you wonder what strikes me with this unit? as I said, I prefer chunky cars with huge interiors, roomy legroom (especially for me, who happens to have long legs), capacity of more than four and lots and lots of storage bins where I can basically put all my stuff ( I’m the type who brings so many things in the car, that’s why… spare clothes, shoes, pillows- for my dear daughter among many other bulky items). What I also like with this car is the height, you see, for me having to drive a high level car is much easier compare to sedan since I can see full view of the front and I can easily glide without having to worry on spaces. And yes, don’t forget that I prefer the 4×4 model just in case! why? because I just love the sound of answering back when asked of what is your car… a 4×4 honda pilot! now that’s pretty cool huh!

Oh yes, call me outdated or whatever you want but today is the first time I saw this super great film, Love Actually. Where am I when this was shown?! I really don’t know. Maybe I was too busy in love also thus made me overlook this well casts film (or I was too busy doing my right-after-college-mini-stint-job offering auto insurance quote to those who I happen to know that own their own car) Yes, for a few months I was involved on that field of work actually! Surprise, surprise! And it hit me now, I should have not stop on that, now that we all know that every household has their own car already, thus auto insurance is also something that they do need. Oh well.

Going back, I know It’s a shame for a movie buff like me not to know this thing, I know. Stone me alright! But there, as the cliche goes, better late than never. Just watched it a few moments ago and do I have to say it again, I loved it! though it was quite long for a romantic comedy film, it was worth it. Basically talks about the wonders of the four letter word, LOVE in all senses! And yes, Hugh Grant is sooo hot in this movie! I hear the scene when he danced, he look awful but really cute I must say And oh, as I said, the casting, I think they just made a good move on choosing those actors and actresses for the roles.

One of my friend asked me if I think she has the power to become a lawyer. I gasp. I can’t answer right back at that instant. I dunno, maybe that profession is just to strong for her, of course I had to rephrase it for her not to hit hard on her face. But of course, if she really wants to be one, then why not. There are so many LSAT prep courses that are being offered now and she can enroll herself first and see if that line is really for her. And if she pass, then I believe it is meant to be.

U-huh. It’s Monday once again. Where did my weekend go?! Oh I remember, was in next level pain for two days thus made me not very visible online. Though technically, I was online but physically, not. What I just did actually was browsed on this free directories and see if anything that I need (services or products) are there so I can check out sometime, or as for reference in the future. I know, it wasn’t your ideal weekend right?!
