And so I am still on my selling mode. In fact, I have another batch of goodies available for grabs aside form authentic designer bags, wallets, jewelries and perfume (aside from of course insurance quote) . Two days ago, my high school best friend and I met and talked about our kiddie stuff for sale like play tents for the kids that are surprisingly cheap! And since it’s really pocket friendly priced, I decided to get a Disney Princess themed tent for my own princess since the Dora tent is still unavailable - well, mom is thinking of getting that one too So anyways, if you are interested, holler up at me and will give you price quotes you’ll not be able to resist!

Finally! the MOM was able to go out and had a great time with friends Though of course I had to bring a tag along - my daughter! Who likewise enjoyed our quick afternoon break and played the whole time with my friend’s daughter Bea. Met up with Glen and Riyo at Malens - a pizza, pasta and bakeshop restaurant in Noveleta Cavite. It was actually our favorite place to eat when we were still in College, especially when we have additional budget to spare - it’s there were you can find us devouring over our must love Roast beef plate and a family sized pizza. And so yesterday, we had the same food as what we used to have… this time with two chocolate cakes and garden salad! What a gastronomic experience it was for us all! And of course, I had to bring my camera with me, to snap on food, the whole place (how I wish to have other subjects like the on going metal buildings at the garden area of the place, but was too lazy to go down!) Yey! Belle De Jour 2010 is finally up and ready for ordering! In fact, I just placed mine and will just have to pay via Gcash (the option I preferred). Actually, they will be having a huge launch on the 25th at New Eastwood Mall: Open Park (Libis QC) - a whole lot of activities awaits the participants and a cheaper priced BDJ planner will be available too! And I heard a lot of shopping stalls for all the chicks who’ll attend will also be put up! (oops, no, probably no car accessories and other men stuff this time). Oh how I wish to be able to attend.. but then again, I’d rather order online and wait - QC is way too far from my place kasi

Can’t wait for my ‘10 planner.. been using this BDJ power planner for 3 consecutive years now and I just totally dig everything of what’s inside… sans the paper quality. I wish they have a better one for this year! woot.

While talking to dear husband earlier this evening, he suddenly asked about my plans regarding our daughter’s schooling. Actually, he wanted to know if we will really enroll our daughter to a pre-school institution as early as next year. She’s 3 years old three and a half. And some say that it is advised to get your kids into school at that age. But my mom and some of my friends told me that maybe, the little girl would be too young to get into school by that age. And now we are confused. I wonder how will we really know if my dear daughter is really ready to enter the school zone. I wonder if this LSAT prep courses or something like that can determine her capabilities and all.

Be an avid listener

When your child tells you about his day, put down your newspaper, stop making dinner, and give him your undivided attention. If he feels as if he has center-stage when he talks to you, it will be easier for him to open up.

Use good grammar and appropriate language

Don’t dumb down your speech when you talk to your child. Children are copycats and will imitate whatever you say — so instill good speech habits early. (And if you don’t want your child to learn to curse, watch your own language!)

Correct mispronunciations and grammatical errors consistently but discreetly

If your child mispronounces a word or makes some other speech mistake, simply repeat the phrase back to him correctly and move on. For example, if he says, “I had pasghetti for lunch today,” just say, “Did you like the spaghetti?” If you dwell on his mistake, you’ll only make him more self-conscious about speaking.

Build his vocabulary

The most natural way to do this is to use different words to describe the same object whenever possible. For example, a dog can be a shepherd, a terrier, a collie, and so on. English is a very rich language; use synonyms as much as you can.

Ask open-ended questions

If you ask your child, “Did you have a good day at school today?” you’re asking for a one-word answer. But if you ask, “What did you do after recess today?” you’ll inspire him to describe what happened.

Encourage him to read aloud

By now your child can probably read a simple chapter book to you, so spend time each day reading together.

Give your child many chances to talk to adults and older children

To help your child gain confidence talking to grown-ups, let him order food at a fast-food drive-thru or place his own order with the waitress at a restaurant. And refrain from answering for him when other adults ask him questions.

It has been almost a year now when we decided to adopt a Cockatiel bird. A very young, still hand fed bird. It was a surprise from the husband actually,one night, he came home with a fragile baby bird and some bird supplies and feeding items too. Actually, it was me who got so surprised to see a super young bird in close up! It still freaks me whenever I imagine the tiny bird, it’s just not normal to see few feathers stuck on a birthday or whatever you explains that. And the fact that it often squeaks and not twit is just unusual thing for a non bird enthusiast like me. But our daughter?! oh wow, she just totally loves the bird the first time she saw it! they were like meant to be together, the bird was not afraid of my loud talking daughter and loves being touch by her !  Anyways, the husband also came with a flier of different Bird Cages to choose from and some more pet bird supplies like little toys for the cage and feeding syringes and feeds too.

Unfortunately, after a few weeks, our bird dies… by a hideous massacre of our neighbor’s stray cat!!! Turns out the bad cat were really eying on our bird that it often waits for us to leave the house so he can attack. And then one night we found our poor bird torn into pieces, lifeless. Such a traumatic scene in fact for my little girl. That until now, she still despise cats (whenever she sees one) and misses our Sasha…

Good thing, I was able to capture some snaps of them together… one of my daughter’s happy times indeed. Sasha should have been 1 year old today…. wherever you are dear bird, we still remember. Thank you for the happiness you brought to our daughter.

Been busy and swamped with so many work online and offline for weeks now. Actually, I shouldn’t be blogging now, but rather sleeping and yes, resting. So how are you guys? the mommy has been very busy last week, thus making me unable to blog more often, oh, but I was able to finish some tasks that were due so there, I was here, but not really. How odd. Anyways, i was just out there, sorting stuff and loots for my online friends and had everything shipped out yesterday afternoon, though I had to go back again today because two of the addresses were missing. Bummer, I know. Anyways, I gotta find affordable suppliers of Logo usb drive that offers personalization or something. Why? because my ex office mate is asking for my help since she is in charge for this year’s company souvenirs, budget is quite small so she literally needs to beg of suppliers to give her huge discount! So there, gotta go and scour the web, I’m one helpful friend ‘ya know

Let’s just say people are still not over with the Ondoy’s vast effect. In fact, there are still group of individuals who tirelessly seek for donations of whatever means to give out to the families who are super affected by the typhoon and flood. Such an amazing thing to hear during the news time, because, with that, I can say that people still believe in helping others and the God teached values are still present in the hearts of many. Even celebrities are really seeking ways in order to help, shouting over at facebook and twitter the things that must be broadcast as fast as possible. Things like this certain group of people who needs help with travel ways and means, etc. Also, the selling of stuff that has been affected by the flood, like 4×4 off road rims and tires cheap by the cars and truck accessories sellers, but the catch is that the proceeds will go directly to the organizations that are helping provide daily fix for the devastated families. Such a generous act, for those who also got affected but what matters most to them is to help the less fortunate ones. True christian values, present in the hearts of our fellow countrymen. Such a nice thing to brag about, the generosity and all.

Just when I thought about being over and done on wedding planning, guess what?! A friend just contacted me yesterday and asked for my help! Oh yes, as part of her wedding planner team. Wasn’t able to answer yes the moment she told me because, my hands are full as of the moment, and handling another tasks - that needs miticulous attention and details might not be a cup of tea for me as of now. But before I could say no, she truly begged, giving me no other option but to agree.

Good thing, the wedding is scheduled to happen not too soon, it’ll be after the holidays. So more time for us team members to interact and brainstorm on this and that and the what nots. Since she already made reservations for the locations, we only need to find ways on how to jazz up the reception venue - the church doesn’t need a fab decorations as flowers and nice lighting can do good. So for the reception, we decided to search the net for online sellers of Wholesale Wedding Decor which we can consider of getting, like those edgy glass/beaded curtains that can serve as back drops for the newleyweds or for the entrance of the said venue. We also need suppliers of swags and other decorations we can use, and with all that is the seemingly obvious limited budget! Thus, we are really skimming the best of the best priced wholesale items we can find to pull off a very nice wedding. All for the love of friendship!

Been so busy as a mother bee for the past few weeks, thus my backlogs are over flowing! Need to double time and blog as much as I can, you see holidays is fast approaching and so are the occasions! So I need to finish everything else before more of stories and photos to share continue to flow. So there, my online friends and I were super happy when finally our three additional boxes of loots arrived! yey! after being delayed for almost a month, the boxes arrived safely and sound. Our house immediately looks like somebody’s contacted a Moving Company because huge boxes and loots are just about everywhere! Funny how my daughter super enjoys every single moment of opening, sorting, ripping out plastics and wrappers, and afterwards boxing up everything (aside from our loots) again. Seems like, she’s already getting the hang of it! hahaha. Actually, you would see her posing for the camera together with the unopened boxes first, it’s a tradition for us, hahaha. To document so we can let our friend Glo how the boxes looks like when it arrives. And after the opening, the little brat will act as if a paid supervisor to check out every single item inside the box! Really cute!

And with all the loots that arrive,  I think another round of sorting for all our old clothes must be done. Might probably choose those that can be donated to the evacuation centers as soon as possible.

There are many inventions of mankind that really are useful noh? example of this is the Handicap Lifts that is made specially for our elders who are having the hardest time in going upstairs, now if you have one of this in your home they wouldn’t have to spend their whole afternoon before they reach their room. plus you wouldn’t have to worry about them in going down the stairs, plus the fact that its just a push button machine, everything will be easy for them, besides thats what we want for them, easy access for everything.

Speaking of this items, my friend who used to work in a bank now has a new business of buying and selling specialized equipments and machines. Mostly are second hand from different countries, surplus items as what others calls it. Actually, when the husband and I visited their store, we were quite amazed on the items they are selling, in fact, they have vast quantity of medical and safety equipment. There was even one time when they have a stock of handicap lift, almost good as new and bought from StairFlyer.com, it was his uncle’s but after he was good to walk again, he decided to sell it at very affordable price, and while we were at her shop it was bought at that instant by a chance buyer! Now that made me realize how great investions such as lift is now in demand to people.

With the typhoon’s super aftermath effect that left thousands of families devastated, several group of individuals are trying their best to come up with something in order to help. But what really wrenched my heart is the babies and mommies who were at the time of the typhoon invasion were confined at the public hospitals who happens to suffer too much because of the sudden rising of flood. Thus making all of the equipments submerged in the water. Making the operation stop at that instant. So how about the babies and mommies who needs medical help? they were put on hold too. Thank heavens for people and communities who make so much effort on asking for help and donations in order to provide stuff for the hospitals that got affected. I heard that they were scouting for affordable machines and equipments to buy in bulk or by piece to be donated for the hospital. Used Ultrasound Machines and other often used machines are much needed and that is what they are aiming to buy from all the donations they collected. Good thing, humble and generous souls from all over the world are contributing in whatever means they can in order to save the babies who are much needing of care and medical help. While waiting for the husband to go online, I suddenly felt the itch to window shop online and look for ideal gift for him this coming Christmas. You see, the husband is one of the hardest people to shop for. Not that he’s a picky type of guy but the fact that he’s just too shy to receive one, he doesn’t like special attention and all. Anyways, going back to my hunt for a perfect gift, maybe I should get him something not so glam or super special at it appeals to be, you know, something that he’ll use as part of his daily fix or something. Like something has to do with his passion and hobbies. My sister even suggested that I should get the husband a new pair of mag wheels for the car or get him a set or whatever of emergency kits like Tire Repair Patch for his tool box, so at least the present may not be directed to him but for sure he’ll be able to use in case of emergencies. Actually, getting somethings like is just plain worth it, I mean it’ll sure be one of the good things to buy. I remember when there was a time when my car’s tire suddenly burst! It was an alarming on my side, doesn’t know how to change tires and all, so I had to call for help and waited for hours before someone arrived. So with emergency items ready just in case, who knows, it can make a difference for it will be able to help me on situations like that or whatever.

A friend just happened to post a city tour of Boston over at Facebook and to be honest, after seeing the photos, I really wished to someday be there too and experience the wonderful sights and all that the city has to offer. Just like dining on those fab and classic restaurants and shopping at those huge malls and of course, hoarding stuff over the outlet’s stores and more. I don’t know, maybe I just love to travel and experience the world - and if only i’d be lucky enough to do so, travelling I mean… I’d be hitting those well raved Restaurants In Manhattan in no time! Of course together with my family, so it’ll be a more fun and memorable experience… travelling with the people you love! experiencing the great things the world has to offer with them and all. And speaking of restaurants, I heard so many raves about this Rosie O’ Grady’s fine dining and exclusive restaurant that offers exquisite dining experience for the people who loves to have grand time eating wonderful cuisines. In fact, I’ve been hitting the online site of the said restaurant and was truly amazed on how they put their best efforts to make their restaurant really different from the others. Anyways, they are already offering mouth watering Thanksgiving Day Menu as early as now, so people can take a view of what to expect during the said occasion. Well I’ve been thinking of re-designing our house interiors for months now. But the husband just refuses to give me funds in order to do so, bummer I know. Been wanting it so so badly, in fact I have started buying and collecting house and home magazines for inspirations and I also subscribed to sites that focuses on house decorating and do-it-yourself projects websites. I needed those things you know, for I’m not a very creative individual when it comes to decorations and house interiors, I’m the type who tends to follow or even copy designs from magazines - although with different items, the cheaper ones - those that fits my budget.
