Bags Galore

Posted by kathy - Under: Uncategorized

I love bags! who doesn’t?! It was one of my favorite thing to collect actually, it all started when I was in College when my friends and I would troop to the nearest mall and would buy matching totes, pouches and sling backs in different colors! Funny I know, but that’s how we were for like, more than five years! Until I started working and I prefer different design, the more formal and classic facade of bags actually. It even came to a point when my mom would nag about my collection because it was way too many for me! Though the ones I used to collect are the cheaper ones, but if combine? heck! the money was filthy enough to get me a luxurious designer brand! Well, but that’s ok, at least I get to experience owning a bag - one style, five different colors!

So now? do I still love collecting bags?! Sure do!!! In fact, thanks to my friends who are based in the US that are selling authentic designer bags! A lot of us here are buying more and more items from them (yep, including the coveted brand of bags) and no, we are not stopping! Until they stop posting new items almost everyday, the drooling over bags, watches, clothes and other stuff will not stop! I just wish to have more moolah for all of it! ;)

Speaking of bags, here are my latest buys… which are about to arrive this coming August! call me excited or whatever!:D

Let me share with you a very makulit photo of my daughter taken yesterday evening before we head for the church anda hear the anticipated mass. Good thing I was able finish reading the term insurance comparison quotes that my mom asked me too when I remember that we will be in charge for the offertory of the mass! Had to buy some snack items from the nearby grocery and packed it nicely. I was done a few minutes before the mass starts, since we still have some time left, I asked the little brat to do a pose for me so her dad will be able to see how she looks like for the mass.. And here’s what she gave me!

I’ve always seen myself as a career woman. Fearless and full of determination to reach the higher level of success - those were the days. Time of mine when I still haven’t found my real calling to life. It was when I always see myself swamped with work loads, busy with client calls, always dressed and made up for success. It was when I used to buy clothes that are meant for a busy and stylish working gal, nice button down shirt in different colors, a coat to match of course :D I remember that there was a certain time I started wearing trench coats! well, not the thick ones of course, those light weight fabric outerwear that are meant for a hot and humid weather at least. Oh, and don’t forget the nice side zip trousers and killer heeled shoes! Bags to match my belt and shoes too ;)

And as I said, those were the days, honestly, I missed those times. But I didn’t say I’m not happy to where I am now, in fact I’m glad I was able to experience the two… being a career woman and a stay at home mom :D  that makes me well rounded to both worlds, right? :D

Anyways, speaking of nice trench coats, let me share with you a design from stylehive that I would love to wear, in the future maybe  :D

    Baby Showers!

Posted by kathy - Under: Uncategorized

I was just visiting sites when I found this cute Party Baby Shower invitation sample at www.cards-411.com, actually they have wide array of birthday party invites, baby shower invitations and even moving announcements! Very affordable compare to other makers of personalized invites especially if you buy in bulk and complete with personalized envelopes too! Their selection of baby invitations are the cutest, it makes me want to organize a shower party for a friend who’s about to give birth anytime this month!

Speaking of organizing a party, I might check on how long they’ll be able to deliver their baby invitations, maybe they can rush things if requested, especially if there are no special requirements at all. I might talk to some of my friends too regarding this plan of throwing a party, hope it’ll turn out positive!

    2 year old

Posted by kathy - Under: Uncategorized

    Dealing With Rigidity

You may have noticed that your 2-year-old isn’t exactly the most flexible person in the world. Her little brain is trying to understand how the world works, and once she gets a concept down, she expects it to stay that way. Having things happen the same way every time reassures your preschooler and gives her a confidence boost (”I knew that would happen!”). That’s why she likes to sit in a certain chair or goes bananas when her cracker breaks in two.

    Your 2-year-old now

“Again! Again!” The Teletubbies have this mantra for a reason: A hallmark of this age is repetition. Your little one may want to eat the same things again and again, wear the same clothes day after day, or do things in the exact same order. Remember that he’s trying to make sense of the world, and keeping certain things unvarying is his way of exercising a little control in all the hubbub of life. Rituals provide comfort.

That said, rigidity can get a little hard to live with. Indulge such behaviors when it’s really not a big deal. But if your preschooler’s demand is unreasonable or inappropriate (wanting to watch TV during dinner, ordering a guest to get out of “Daddy’s chair”), refuse calmly but firmly. You might trigger a tantrum, but ultimately you’re the boss.

    Get To Know Yourself Better

Posted by kathy - Under: Uncategorized

    A personality quiz taken here

    now here’s my result….

    Your view on yourself:

You are down-to-earth and people like you because you are so straightforward. You are an efficient problem solver because you will listen to both sides of an argument before making a decision that usually appeals to both parties.

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:

You are a true romantic. When you are in love, you will do anything and everything to keep your love true.

Your readiness to commit to a relationship:

You are ready to commit as soon as you meet the right person. And you believe you will pretty much know as soon as you might that person.

    The seriousness of your love:

You like to flirt and behave seductively. The opposite sex finds this very attractive, and that’s why you’ll always have admirers hanging off your arms. But how serious are you about choosing someone to be in a relationship with?

    Your views on education

Education is very important in life. You want to study hard and learn as much as you can.

    The right job for you:

You’re a practical person and will choose a secure job with a steady income. Knowing what you like to do is important. Find a regular job doing just that and you’ll be set for life.

    How do you view success:

You are confident that you will be successful in your chosen career and nothing will stop you from trying.

What are you most afraid of:

You are concerned about your image and the way others see you. This means that you try very hard to be accepted by other people. It’s time for you to believe in who you are, not what you wear.

    Who is your true self:

You are mature, reasonable, honest and give good advice. People ask for your comments on all sorts of different issues. Sometimes you might find yourself in a dilemma when trapped with a problem, which your heart rather than your head needs to solve.

    moving!

Posted by kathy - Under: Uncategorized

A friend of ours is inviting us for their house warming party sometime this month. Actually, they already had an official house party blessing last month but there were many friends who weren’t able to attend for some reason or another. So the friend who owns the new house decided to schedule another moving announcement get together! I wonder if she’ll also send out Announcements Moving Cards or anything like that to those who she can’t contact via phone, probably she will since she were able to send our moving cards before something like the one below.

    http://www.announcements-shoppe.com/phpThumb.php?src=/Large/2745_0610042343MA.jpg

Anyways, speaking of announcements moving I was asked by another friend to design a simple card for their upcoming house blessing, but you know, I wouldn’t dare! specially if there are sites that offers affordable personalized card making like announcements-shoppe.com! I’d probably tell her about this site, and I’ll just do the ordering and all :D That simple!
