DDA: 12.07 — Fun Ranch Experience

Posted by kathy - Under: Uncategorized

As mentioned in my post here, we had a day of fun at Westgate two Sunday’s ago. And since my blog post was bitin, here is the continuation of Olin’s day of fun at Active Fun play place. Boy, it was so big! I had to accompany the little brat all over the place! She particularly made a hit at the ball pool, where she plunged without fear just like the other older kids do.

She was likes trying her luck with stairs and anything that has to do with going to the second and third level of the play area! I was uberly tired from all the following and making enter the tunnels, afraid that she might direct herself to the slides and hurt herself…

walang katakot takot by you.

This is one of my favorite area, where I can sit and rest for a while while she plays with the letters and numbers without worrying all the akyatan and slide-an.. hehehe. Imagine I was holding my camera and my bag while making sunod to all her whereabouts! It was tiring! But the two of us were happy!

And yes, she got tired too after some 45 minutes of non stop running and akyatan and slide-an and suotan wherever.

But she can’t be stop! After recharging herself, she’s back with vengeance and tried the bigger slides! By the way, I had to slide too! because we found ourselves facing the big slide and we have no chance of going back because a lot of kids are already lined behind us. So imagine Olin on my lap while we slide! OMG! it was fun but risky! my camera even hit the side of the slide. demet.

And so I have a very friendly tot eh? look, she found herself an ate! :D

It was indeed a super tiring 1 1/2 hour play time but my daughter is at her happiest, so it was worth all the hingal and muscle pains the day after :D

A lot of people say that my daughter is one camera addict :D you see, she likes being photographed, a thing that she definitely got from me! Because her dad is a total opposite, he hates being flashed by cameras and being center of attention. But aside from that almost every attributes of my daughter came from him, from the food likes to the tantrum throws up of the brat, everything came from the moody husband. Now let me share with you her latest photo that I took a few minutes ago, she asked me for “picture! picture!” and I obliged.

Fun Ranch day

Posted by kathy - Under: Uncategorized

For the little tot. Went to Fun Ranch at Westgate Alabang last Saturday for a little unwinding, since the husband have a schedule meet up at Westgate we might as well join him, we were suppose to stay and wait for him at ATC but we realized that Active Fun is already open so we decided to give it a try! Lunch at the Big Red Barn was good too, we had calamari and fried chicken,  love the honey mustard dip and the gravy too. And it took us a while to finish everything because the servings were huge man! And the service was great too. A bit pricey, but worth it.

crispy calamari by you.

After resting a bit and while Olin was busy doodling, (by the way, the server were uber nice to Olin that she gave her a new set of colors!) I, on the other hand read the flyers about Sebo vacuum cleaners that somebody gave me while entering the place, I also read their party rates leaflets.

The husband went back to his meet up with friends and left us at the Fun Ranch while I drown myself with the bottom iced tea! lol. Since there are still so many kids playing at the activity area, we waited for a little bit before I signed her in (ourselves in, actually) since Olin has to be accompanied by an adult. Will do another post about that. I just have to finish uploading photos and other stuff in the house :D

buzz

Posted by kathy - Under: Uncategorized

My friend Glen spend the late afternoon hear in our house, and told me about her desire to work in USA online casinos site. Actually, her wants to work in USA online casinos were influenced by her dad working in Las Vegas and the stories that goes around the city. Almost everyday when they talk on the phone, her daddy will tell her about the latest gigs and buzz that is happening in their place, he was even always playing at the casinos or can be found at the sites of  USA online casinos. I wonder if it is really worth it?

Top 10 Holiday Diet Tips of All Time

Posted by kathy - Under: Uncategorized

1. TRIM BACK THE TRIMMINGS
To shave calories, go easy when adding nuts, cheese, cream sauces, gravy, butter and whipped cream—additions that don’t add much to the meal, but can add plenty to your waistline. Trim calories wherever you can so you leave the party feeling satisfied, but not stuffed

2. WEAR SNUG CLOTHES AND KEEP ONE HAND BUSY
When you wear snug-fitting attire, chances are you’ll be too busy holding in your stomach to overeat. While you stand around looking, hold a drink in your dominant hand so it won’t be so easy to grab food. ;)

3. CHEW GUM
When you don’t want to eat, pop a piece of sugarless gum into your mouth. This works well when you’re cooking or when you’re trying not to dive into the buffet. Try it it works! :)

4. BE A FOOD SNOB
If you don’t love it, don’t eat it. Scan the buffet for foods you truly treasure and skip the everyday dishes that are available all year long. And don’t think it’s your responsibility to sample everything on the buffet. Go ahead and indulge in your personal holiday favorites, then find a seat and, slowly and mindfully, savor every mouthful.

5. NO SKIPPING MEALS
Always eat normally on the day of a party. People who skip meals to save up calories tend to overeat everything in sight once they get there. Eating sensibly throughout the day will take the edge off the appetite and empower a bit of restraint. Start with a nourishing breakfast, have a light lunch, then a small snack or salad shortly before the event.

6. CHECK IT OUT
First things first. When you arrive at the party, grab a sparkling water with a twist and wait at least 30 minutes before eating. This will give you time to relax, get comfortable in your surroundings and survey your food choices on the buffet before diving in. A buffet is an invitation to eat all you can, and unless you carefully scrutinize it and make wise choices, you’re likely to overeat.

7. ADD FUN AND GAMES
proposes taking the focus off food and getting family and friends more active during holiday parties. Think of ice skating or building snowmen. Indoors, try to play cranium, charades, or rent an instructional dance video followed by a dance-off. The best parties include dancing, so why not make dancing after eating a new holiday tradition for a great form of fun and recreation?

8. ALTERNATE ALCOHOL WITH NONALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES
Alcoholic drinks are loaded with calories—especially holiday favorites like eggnog. Cut your alcohol calories in half by alternating water between alcoholic beverages

9. SKIP THE APPETIZERS
Eschew the appetizers rather than chewing on them. If you want an appetizer before the meal, go for the veggies, fruit, salsa or a small handful of nuts.

10. LIMIT THE VARIETY
Putting only two items on your plate when you go to the food table. Return as many times as you like, but only take two items each time. Variety stimulates appetite, and if you limit your choices to just a few items and stick with these, it will be easier to control than eating a little bit of 20 different dishes.

thanks to Faye.. got this thing from you :D

missing the work

Sometimes I missed my previous job. As a Production Planning Officer, it has been my duty to plan out every single item we need for production (read: raw materials). Which can practically makes me busy in some part of the month and super laid back the rest of the days. Fulfilling? not exactly, but I was happy. Happy with co-workers turn out good friends. And part of our good camaradie are the helping out scheme, where we lend help to those who needs it badly, having a no system product warehouse it is, it can make the in charge go gaga when deliveries comes in. If only we have Data Warehousing Software which has been offered to the top management but they refuse it in the end. Believing that the company is too small to acquire such system. But you know, they just didn’t know everything. Imagine if the company has this, everything will fall unto its proper places. Things will be great, deliveries will be prompt. Production will be well planned and data will not be lost, just at that. But there is still chances, I heard they are already requesting for one. I just hope their request will be granted soon.

her dreams

Posted by kathy - Under: Uncategorized

A cousin of mine is soon be finishing her secondary schooling next March and is right now thinking of getting herself into one of those online colleges like Capella University. Although she likes going to school, but the fact that she needs to work too in able to support her studies, and the work that can provide her good salary is super demanding a lot of time from her. So a friend suggested of inquiring at Capella, known for their great online schooling, it can be the answer to my cousin’s dilemma. Imagine, being able to fulfill her dreams of finishing her studies while working on a regular basis to provide for herself and her family is the most greatest thing to do. I just hope she finds way to really push through on whatever her plans to do. And I pray that she’ll be able to finish her studies as well. But with the promising view from Capella, I think things will turn out great for her.

Tips

Posted by kathy - Under: Uncategorized

Just when I’m practically moving away with fast cash payday loans offering, loads of emails and snail mails are coming in my way! It’s super tempting, I must say, but what can I do, I’m really trying my best to settle every itsy bitsy piece of my financial debt, to which I can proudly say is almost done! Sounds great like? I know, but theres a an attached hard way of learning to it. You see, I’ve been the biggest spender the moment my cards reaches my hand! I was like shopping every so often that made my mom thinks and actually believes I’m earning so big thus explains my whirwind spendings! But some good things never lasts that long, how I wish! but when reality slaps in, right there and then I realized that I’m being swallowed whole with debt. Don’t get me wrong here, getting loans is the most convenient way to live out a life away from cash shortage, but please, this I tell you, plan your spending so wisely. You must take it from me, never spend on stuffs and things that you practically don’t need, never swipe until you drop your credit cards and cash out your loaned money. Learn to use the money you had in a very wise manner. Believe me, you’ll never want to experience those sleepless nights just thinking of what to do to come up with money that you have to pay on your monthly dues. And lastly, live to what your means can handle, don’t put yourself in a situation you just can’t simply get out.

December Daily Album: 12.01 - The smiling moon

Posted by kathy - Under: Uncategorized

Have you seen last night’s smiling moon?

smiling moon by you.

I was watching a documentary about paternity test when my friend Emma and Glen texted me about this one’s in a lifetime nature show… the smiling moon! It was awesome, I had to go back inside the house and get my camera and capture it! :D It was indeed smiling! My daughter loves it so!… the news said that it was the two planet Venus and Jupiter  and the moon aligned. Although all the while we all thought that it was just stars!

It’s really nice seeing things like this noh? I mean, with all the problems we are encountering, the Man above still has some great things to show us… and we just all love it! :D Thanks for reminding us that we are still being loved by you…

Been talking about my previous cash loans from different financial intstitution (read: banks). Anyways, it has been some good three years the last time I took a big leap in aquiring for one. The thing is, my finances got whirled up and for almost six months, I was too neglectful of not paying dues on time. You see, there are number of people who experienced this kind of hardship, and let me tell you, it is stressful. Getting loans now is super easy, in fact there are institution that offers one day release of funds and even hours! But in attach to that quick money offerings is the fact that you have to meet deadlines and pay your dues on time. In my case, it was an honest to goodness thing, I was able to talk to their agents regarding my financial status, soon enough they were able to send me justifiable amnesty program just in time for the holidays. Albeit wrong timing since holidays and it falls on the expenses month, I had no choice but to grab it and pay the amount that was offered to me. Let me tell you, it was way too low compare to what I’m supposed to pay for, so I had to gather my enough savings and some more to meet my deadline. Thank God for all the online opportunities it really helped me a lot in my troubled days. Now I can say that I am totally debt free :D

Learning life’s lesson in a hard way is the best way to strenghten me up. It’s better to learn in an early age instead of experiencing this problem in the future.  :D

Mineral Make Up

Posted by kathy - Under: Uncategorized

Do you like make up and the likes? Because I do! actually for the past couple of weeks, my twitter friends are talking about mineral make ups, brushes and all that jazz! I was able to convince a few to try Everyday Minerals, with my convincing power, some of them ordered their kits too! but don’t just take my word for it, you must try it and see the difference of using mineral cover up to those chemical filled branded ones! :D the feeling of lightness and nice coverage is super nice!

Now let me just share my Super Personal Custom Kit, that I got for less than $50 including shipping last April. But when I check their site, I noticed that they just had price mark up on everything.

mineral00001 by kathycot.

By the way, I so love their kabuki brushes! you better order one for yourselves and experience the softness it can bring to your face. I also have the baby kabuki, but suggest not for you to get it, it’s basically not so sulit, super small better get the Long handled one :D

Anyways, thanks to Mai for recommending another mineral make up seller available locally the Ellena Mineral Cosmetics. They have free samplers up for grabs, you’ll just have to pay for the shipping. And of course, I ordered some few items from their site too, like the Lip treatment, Lip scrub and availed their free samplers too! Probably, my stuff will arrive tomorrow! :D can’t wait! teehee!
