Trasylol Lawsuit

Posted by kathy - Under: Uncategorized

Trasylol was supposed to be a lifesaving drug. It was approved by the FDA in 1993 and was meant to reduce the bleeding that occurred during complex surgeries like heart or liver surgery. Following a growing trend among pharmaceuticals, Trasylol has been blamed for killing the patients that it was meant to save.

Trasylol, also known as Aprotinin, was administered to patients with a simple injection. Trasylol became one of the most common drugs in the operating room. The drug was used on patients that were set to undergo a complicated surgery with the likelihood of major blood loss.

In 2007, Trasylol was blamed for causing increased risk and complications during surgery as well as some deaths. Later, in 2008, there was enough evidence gathered against Trasylol to permanently remove it from hospitals.

While the maker of the drug, Bayer, was hiding evidence that a problem even existed thousands of people were suffering and losing their lives. Bayer should not be allowed to profit from their negligence.

Anyone who thinks they or one of their family members may have been a victim should file a Trasylol claim immediately. Filing a Trasylol lawsuit against Bayer will help send the message out to Bayer and the FDA. Just Demerath of Austin, Texas is a dedicated victims attorney that can help.
