Weekend Round Up and a Gift
Thanks Eds and Jhona for this ![]()
It really made me think of myself as a good person, just in time when others think the opposite about me
It made me feel welcome and loved by my blogger friends. Oh my, I sound so mushy already! stop the crap kathy! Alright then, so how was your weekend everyone? In our case, we just stayed for a couple days in my parent’s house, nope, we did not go to the mall or made pasyal. After hearing mass we just opted to bond with my mom, sis and tita the whole day, less gastos but it was fun! And yeah, I was able to clean my closet in my previous bedroom, I had to let go of the clothes I’m not wearing anymore, or shall I say that doesn’t fit me now! I also found my bunch of corsets that I wore in my College days, I was trying to lose weight then, thus opting to wear tight under garments like that for a slimmer effect ![]()

Tots and Tantrums
What to do
Don’t lose your cool. A tantrum is not a pretty sight. In addition to kicking, screaming, or pounding the floor, your toddler’s repertoire may include throwing things, hitting, and even holding his breath to the point of turning blue. When your child is swept up in a tantrum, he’s unlikely to listen to reason, though he will respond — negatively — to your yelling or threatening. “I found the more I shouted at Brandon to stop, the wilder he would get,” says one mother of a 2-year-old. What worked instead, she discovered, was to just sit down and be with him while he raged.
Staying with your child during a tantrum is a good idea. Stomping out of the room — alluring as that may be — can make him feel abandoned. The storm of emotion he’s going through can be frightening to him, and he’ll appreciate knowing you’re nearby. Some experts recommend picking up your child and holding him if it’s feasible (i.e., he’s not flailing too much), saying he’ll find your embrace comforting. But others say it’s better to ignore the tantrum until your child calms down, rather than rewarding negative behavior. Through trial and error, you’ll learn which approach is right for your child.
Remember that you’re the adult. No matter how long the tantrum continues, don’t give in to unreasonable demands or negotiate with your screaming toddler. It’s especially tempting in public to cave in as a way of ending the episode. Try not to worry about what others think — anyone who’s a parent has been there before. By conceding, you’ll only be teaching your child that throwing a fit is a good way to get what he wants, and setting the stage for future behavior problems. Besides, your child is already frightened by being out of control. The last thing he needs is to feel that you’re not in control either.
If your child’s outburst escalates to the point where he’s hitting people or pets, throwing things, or screaming nonstop, pick him up and carry him to a safe place, such as his bedroom. Tell him why he’s there (”because you hit Aunt Sally”), and let him know that you’ll stay with him until his negative behavior stops. If you’re in a public place — a common breeding ground for tantrums — be prepared to leave with your child until he calms down.
“When my daughter was 2, she had an absolute fit at a restaurant because the plain spaghetti she ordered arrived with chopped parsley on it,” recalls one mother. “Although I realized why she was upset, I wasn’t about to let her disrupt everyone’s dinner. I took her outside until she calmed down.”
Talk it over afterward. When the storm subsides, hold your child close and talk about what happened. Acknowledge his frustration, and help him put his feelings into words, saying something like, “You were very angry because your food wasn’t the way you wanted it.” Let him see that once he expresses himself in words, he’ll get better results. Say with a smile, “I’m sorry I didn’t understand you. Now that you’re not screaming, I can find out what you want.”
Try to head off tantrum-inducing situations. Pay attention to what situations push your child’s buttons and plan accordingly. If he falls apart when he’s hungry, carry snacks with you. If he has trouble making a transition from one activity to the next, give him a gentle heads-up before a change. Alerting him to the fact that you’re about to leave the playground or sit down to dinner (”We’re going to eat when you and Daddy are done with your story”) gives him a chance to adjust instead of react.
Your toddler is grappling with independence, so offer him choices whenever possible. No one likes being told what to do all the time. Saying, “Would you like corn or carrots?” rather than “Eat your corn!” will give him a sense of control. Monitor how often you’re saying “no.” If you find you’re rattling it off routinely, you’re probably putting unnecessary stress on both of you. Try to ease up and choose your battles. Would it really wreck your schedule to spend an extra five minutes at the playground? And does anybody really care if your tike wears mismatched mittens?
Watch for signs of overstress. Although daily tantrums are a perfectly normal part of the mid-toddler years, you do need to keep an eye out for possible problems. Has there been upheaval in the family? An extremely busy or harried period? Tension between Mom and Dad? All of these can provoke tantrums. If after the age of 30 months your child is still having major tantrums every day, talk to your doctor. If your child is younger than 30 months and has three or four tantrums a day and isn’t cooperating with any routines, such as getting dressed or picking up toys, you also may want to seek help. Your doctor can make sure your child has no serious physical or psychological problems and suggest ways to deal with the outbursts. Also, talk to your doctor if your child has frightening breath-holding spells when he gets upset. There’s some evidence that this behavior is linked to an iron deficiency.
This I got from BabyCenter site.

Backing Up
As I told earlier about my laptop that were invaded by the hideous virus from somewhere, it is such a good thing that I was able to burn most of my photo files a week ago, maybe I got a feeling that something bad would happen, oh, there were a lot of bad things that happened actually besides my laptop act up. Anyways, so now that my lappy is back on track, I again transferred some of the photos that I would be needing for my blogging purposes on my hard drive, and I saw this pictures.. one of the many fun moments of my daughter and her cousins Stephanie and Juliana taken last summer, having fun in their inflatables wearing their cute swimwear you might notice that they are not sharing the same pool, because we have to segregate them or else my daughter would be smashed out by the two older kiddos!
cute isn’t?
Saturday down
My goodness! It’s a Saturday and I am here, stucked in front of my laptop, I have so much to do thus making me not able to go out for Pete’s sake. I am such a loser. I should have finish everything before it hit the deadline, and now I’m cramming to the nth power! And yes, blame it on the virus that entered my lappy which makes things worst, I had to slash out about a thousand bucks for the repair and reformating. Terrible week so to speak, very unforgettable week actually. And dig this, my internet connection is so slow, it is actually crawling like a turtle! Everything is not in its normal state! Just when I need a speedy connection so I can search on about those travel insurance packages that my father asked me to inquire. Oh well I guess I’ll have to reboot my unit after this post. And hope for a faster connection. God Save me!

Dear God, we pray that you comfort each bereaved family everyday as they grieved for their loss, we pray that you will supply all their needs, we pray for the survivors that they may have a good life after the tragedy, that you will bless them and let them know in the deepest part of their heart that in spite of what have happened, you LOVE and CARE for them. baby names
I got two close friends who are pregnant and about to give birth by November, plus a lot of online friends who are about to lay eggs too in the coming months, this preggo news makes me want to have a baby! lol, not now though, but in another years to come. I remember when I was still pregnant with my daughter, it took me like forever to come up with a name for her, you see I even search on the sites of famous baby names around the world and even found myself scanning through celebrity’s kid names hoping that one or two names would catch my attention. Though it was a really fun thing to do, still I wasn’t able to snag at least one. Maybe because the names are so westernized sounding thus it made me feel so unreal if I would name my child after their names, although there are a few that sounds striking but when combine with our last name, it sounds so unreal. So I just make the most time out of it, and finsish reading and scanning every single names in the site. I was cool really! For coming up of a website wherein the future expectants can check out to help them in choosing names. My friend even asked me for suggestions, so what I did was forward to her the sites that features names and the like, I just hope she can make use of that
And for Olin Rei? what I did was get letters from her two grand father’s name and put it together ![]()

base and clarity
I envy my dad’s television room set up, fully geared with Bose’s surround system, I believe that it is one of the best home theater speakers! Actually, it took him years to be able to buy his dream set up, but it’s really worth the wait. With the huge screen tv and Denon A/V receivers, watching your favorite flick is such a heaven! I wish we have this too. Well, there’s still a lot of time for us to save, who knows, we might be able to buy this type of cool entertainment stuffs in the future. But for now, I just make use of the time whenever I get the chance to watch my favorite movies here in my parent’s house! lol. Been surfing and reading sites like www.thespeakercompany.com for the latest and the most affordable home theatre set ups available in the market today, if you are looking for good quality speakers for your computers, receivers and for car set ups just what the husband is a pro, you can check out this site and look for the best and cheapest unit you might need. Oh well, this post made me remember the DB Drag competition my husband had joined in the previous years, he actually excels on this part, sounds, base, music clarity and all that jazz!
sneaky online
Sometimes when I have nothing to do and when my mind suddenly goes on a backward trips, I usually see myself in my previous company, no not working but talking nonstop with my officemates turn into close friends. You see, those people are some of my precious friends, people that I can talk to about anything, my rants, raves, excitenments among many other things. Anyways, since we do not see each other very often we just get in touch through online messangers. Actually the company prohibits them to, but as you know, there are numerous ways to use that service without the management noticing it! lol. Anyways, where am I heading? Because, I’m afraid that we may not continue our daily rendevouz because they are soon be having a system or team collaboration solution in a month’s time. In fact, they are undergoing seminars and further studies at the metro so they can learn to use the solution well, on the other hand, it will really benefit them all, for sure it will make their work loads much easier to do. I even heard that more and more companies are embracing such system works, it cost a lot we know, but when learn to use it well, the whole team will surely benefit and the company too. I just wish that we can still have time to get in touch with each other within the day
I know they’ll can find ways to sneak in! lol

The attendants and the guards were fascinated with our blabbing tot in her jammie! she even insist of bringing home some of the choco muchos and tofi luks from the shelves, no we didn’t bought it for her, instead we just got her some mini marshmallow packs
